Job Description
Salary: $82,004 - $120,000
Develop, evaluate, and improve software for FPGAs (Field Programmable Gate Arrays) specific to SPN-41B and FRN-49 systems.
Essential Job Functions:
Perform tasks with little to no guidance.
Develop software for embedded FPGA systems for Government programs.
Evaluate vendor provided recommendations for requirements, functionality, and testing.
Utilize principles of systems engineering, and other engineering disciplines, to evaluate and recommend software solutions, best practices, and clarify requirements.
Required Skills:
Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.
Bachelor's degree in engineering, math, or science discipline and a minimum of 5 years of experience.
Active Secret Security Clearance.
At least 5 years of experience applying systems engineering practices to development programs.
Experience with XIlinx ISE project files with target FPGA chip XC4VLX25-10SFG363.
Experience using software tools to develop logic and control programs for FPGAs.
Familiarity with software interfaces via Ethernet and ARINC connections.
Strong communication skills, attention to detail, experienced team member, ability to work closely with multiple diverse teams simultaneously, and the drive to contribute to program success.
Ability to work independently, or in a multi-discipline team.
Desire and ability to leverage lessons learned by evaluating processes and solutions/conclusions from previous efforts.
Desired Skills:
Experience with air traffic control systems or radars.
Experience with SPN-41B or FRN-49 radar systems.
Familiarity with DoD and NAVAIR acquisition processes and Systems Engineering Technical Reviews.
