Compensation: $50 to $55 per hour

What You Bring to the Table:

• Bachelor’s Degree and Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction licensure (or eligibility) in all subjects you’ll teach.
• Prior teaching experience, ideally in an urban school setting, with a proven track record of fostering student growth.
• Expertise in creating a vibrant, engaging classroom that promotes college readiness and high academic standards.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build lasting relationships with students, families, and colleagues.
• Experience or willingness to serve as a trusted advisor to a small group of students, guiding them academically and personally.
• Excellent classroom management skills and a passion for cultivating a positive, respectful learning environment.
• An entrepreneurial spirit with the ability to adapt and excel in a fast-moving educational setting.
• Commitment to continuous professional growth, including collaborating with instructional coaches and embracing feedback.

Your Impactful Role:

• Deliver engaging, rigorous lessons that prepare students for college and meaningful careers, including interventions, enrichment, and remediation tailored to individual needs.
• Set and uphold high expectations for student achievement, behavior, and social development.
• Follow Wisconsin DPI teacher standards and actively participate in professional development to refine your teaching craft.
• Foster a culture of respect, trust, and responsibility while building strong partnerships with students and their families.
• Utilize data-driven strategies to personalize learning plans and contribute to team goals.
• Integrate technology seamlessly into your daily instruction to enhance learning.
• Maintain timely and transparent communication with students, families, and the school community.
• Ensure student safety through vigilant supervision and a caring presence.
• Keep all teaching records, grades, and assignments up to date via PowerSchool.
