GY6 is a Small Business Administration-certified, Native Hawaiian Organization-Owned, 8(a) Small Business that provides services and solutions in the areas of Environmental Services, Information Technology Services, Healthcare Services and Professional and Technical Services to the Department of Defense and other Federal agencies.GY6 is a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Kina'ole Foundation, a 501(c)(3) non-profit established to benefit Native Hawaiian communities.You will receive a comprehensive benefits package that includes:Health insuranceDental insuranceLife insurance401K...and much, much more!Duties and Responsibilities:Take directions from job Forman, weld and fabricate as requiredAssist in pipefitting and fabrication functions within the Petrochemical industryWork closely with Pipe Welders, crew, and management team to meet completion schedulesPipefitter Labor positions may be required to assist with daily shop activitiesOther duties as assigned by SupervisorMinimum Requirements:1 year general pipefitting experience, 5 years tank experience preferredAbility to operate equipment preferredMust be able to pass a structural and pipe weld testMust have the ability to read and interpret drawings and prints associated with fuels systems and pipe fabricationExperience using Personal Protective EquipmentKnowledge of pipe take-offs and lay-out requiredExperience supporting welding requirements under API 1104, ASME B31.3 and ASME Section IX and Petrochemical industry preferredAbility to work well with others, self-motivated and follows instructionsAbility to learn and understand safety procedures and practicesReliable and understands their role as a team memberMust be able to travel for extended periods of time and be able to access military and secured industrial sitesMay be required to work internationally for short-term and potential long-term assignments that will include travel incentive payKnowledge of pipe take-offs and lay-out is preferredCurrent OSHA 30 Hour training preferredPhysically capable of working outdoors in hot and/or cold temperaturesMust successfully pass pre-employment drug/background screens and GY6 physical examination and have the ability to use safety equipment as requiredMay be required to maintain a valid U.S passport for travel internationally for short-term and potential long term assignmentsGY6 is an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at our company.
